Sage sorcerer and lich has been the most fun combo I’ve done for now. Honestly any melee and Demon feels fantastic, I know technically it's in the bottom tier for paths. But thematically I love it. Demonic charge plus greater mythic vital strike and cleaving finish makes the enemy backrow quake. Imagine messing up your build at level 3 and realizing that at level 13. As for damage, I don't think you'd lose too much if you went Sylvan sorcerer. Rather, what you'd probably miss out on is a few defenses (mainly resists) and a slightly wider spell selection.
