Yaesu needed a radio to compete with the Icom IC-7300 in that price range and the FT-710 fits the bill. Been thinking about selling my FTDX-3000 ( and several more radios) to upgrade to a newer, base rig. I narrowed my choices down to two rigs: FTDX-101D (100W version) and IC-7610.
